1. Spiritual Separation and Death: One of the most profound consequences of deviating from God's path is spiritual separation from Him. In Genesis 2:17, God warns Adam and Eve, "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it, you will surely die." This death is not only physical but also spiritual, signifying a separation from the life-giving presence of God. Romans 6:23 reiterates this, stating, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

2. Loss of Blessings and Favor: The Bible frequently associates obedience to God with blessings and favor, while disobedience results in the loss of these benefits.
