And now divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”

With it, the Reubenite and the Gadite received their inheritance, which Moses had given them beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of YHWH had given to them:

From Aroer which is on the bank of the River Arnon, and the town that is in the midst of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba as far as Dibon;

and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the sons of Ammon;

and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite and Maachathite, and all of Mount Hermon, and all of Bashan as far as Salcah—

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei; he remained of the remnant of the Rephaim, for Moses had defeated and dispossessed them.

And the sons of Israel did not drive out the Geshurite or the Maachathite, and the Geshurite and Maacah dwell in the midst of Israel until this day.

Only to the tribe of Levi he had given no inheritance; the fire offerings of YHWH, God of Israel, are their inheritance, as He said to them.

And Moses had given to the tribe of the sons of Reuben by their clans.

And their territory was from Aroer which is on the bank of the River Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the valley, and all the plain by Medeba,

Heshbon and all its cities that are in the plain, Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,

and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the hill in the valley,

and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,

and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses had struck, and with it the princes of Midian (Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba), princes of Sihon dwelling in the land.

And Balaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the sons of Israel killed with the sword, among those who were killed by them.

And the border of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan and its bank. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben by their clans, the cities and their villages.

And Moses had given to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad by their clans.

And their territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites, as far as Aroer which is upon the face of Rabbah;

and from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;

and in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon (with the Jordan as its border as far as the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth) on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Gad by their clans, the cities and their villages.

And Moses had given to the half-tribe of Manasseh, and it was for the half-tribe of the sons of Manasseh by their clans.

And their territory was from Mahanaim all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

and half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the sons of Machir son of Manasseh, for half of the sons of Machir by their clans.

These are that which Moses had distributed as an inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan by Jericho eastward.

And to the tribe of Levi, Moses had given no inheritance; YHWH, God of Israel, was their inheritance, as He had said to them.
