1 AND he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, gushing out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the great street of the city, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve kind of fruits, and each month it yielded one of its fruits; and the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the people. through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. 3 And that which drops shall be no more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be on their foreheads. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they shall neither need a candle, nor the light of the sun; for the LORD God shines on them: and they shall reign for ever and ever. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the LORD God who is the spirit of the prophets sent his angel to show to his servants the things which shortly must come to pass. And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.” The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
7 Behold, I am coming soon: blessed is he who keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book. “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”
8 And I, John, who heard and saw these things, when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.
9 And he said to me, Do not do that: I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book: worship God. but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”
10 Then he said to me, Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near.
11 He who is unjust will continue to be unjust: and he who is filthy will continue to be filthy: and he who is righteous will continue to do righteousness: and he who is holy will continue to be holy. Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”
12 Behold, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
13 I am Aleph and Tau, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.
15 For without are the vicious, and magicians, and the immoral, and murderers, and idolaters, and whoever loves to tell lies. 16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you these things in the churches. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say Come. And let him who hears, say Come. And he who is thirsty, let him come. And whosoever will, let him take of the living water freely. The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
18 I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his portion from the tree of life, and from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
20 He who testifies these things says, Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, LORD Jesus. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our LORD Jesus Christ be with you all, all you holy ones. Amen. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.
