2	And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.	And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
4	And he shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor wailing, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things have passed away.	He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”	He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5	And he who sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Then he said to me, Write: for these are the trustworthy and true words of God.	And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”	He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6	And he said to me, I am Aleph and Tau, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give of the fountain of living water to him who is thirsty.	And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.	He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.
7	He who overcomes shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.	The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.	Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.
8	But as for the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the sinful, and the abominable, and murderers, and those who commit adultery, and the magicians, and the idolators, and all liars, their portion shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.	But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”	But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
9	And there came to me one of the seven angels who had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and he talked with me, saying, Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. 19	And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. 21	And the twelve gates were adorned with twelve pearls; one for each of the gates, and each gate was made of a single pearl; and the great street of the city was of pure gold. as it were transparent glass. 24	And the people who have been saved shall walk by that very light: and the kings of the earth shall bring their own glory and the honor of the people into it. 25	And the gates of it shall not be barred by day: for there is no night there.	and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there.	On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.
26	And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the people into it.	They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.	The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.
27	And there shall not enter into it anything which defiles, nor he who works abominations and lies; only those shall enter whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.	But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.	Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
