1 A song. A psalm of Asaph. ”8224; God, do not keep silent. Do not be deaf, God; do not be quiet. O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God! A song. A psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have acted arrogantly. For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads. See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads.
3 They devise clever schemes against your people; they conspire against your treasured ones. They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against your treasured ones. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.
4 They say, “Come, let’s wipe them out as a nation so that Israel’s name will no longer be remembered.” They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!” “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 For they have conspired with one mind; they form an alliance against you — For they conspire with one accord; against you they make a covenant— With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you—
