For the choir director: on the Gittith. ”8224; A psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is your dwelling place, LORD of Armies. How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts! For the director of music. According to gittith. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. How lovely is your dwelling place, LORD Almighty!
I long and yearn for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh cry out for the living God. My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Even a sparrow finds a home, and a swallow, a nest for herself where she places her young — near your altars, LORD of Armies, my King and my God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
How happy are those who reside in your house, who praise you continually. Selah Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
Happy are the people whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a source of spring water; even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings. As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.
LORD God of Armies, hear my prayer; listen, God of Jacob. Selah O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah Hear my prayer, LORD God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob.
Consider our shield, God; look on the face of your anointed one. Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed! Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.
Better a day in your courts than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than live in the tents of wicked people. For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Happy is the person who trusts in you, LORD of Armies! O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
