A psalm; a dedication song for the house. Davidic. I will exalt You, LORD, because You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me. I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David. I will exalt you, LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
LORD, You brought me up from Sheol; You spared me from among those going down to the Pit. O LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit. You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.
Sing to Yahweh, you His faithful ones, and praise His holy name. Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.
For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor, a lifetime. Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning. For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
When I was secure, I said,” I will never be shaken.” As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.” When I felt secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.”
LORD, when You showed Your favor, You made me stand like a strong mountain; when You hid Your face, I was terrified. By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed. LORD, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
LORD, I called to You; I sought favor from my Lord:” To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy: To you, LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your truth? “What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness? “What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
LORD, listen and be gracious to me; LORD, be my helper.” Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me! O LORD, be my helper!” Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me; LORD, be my help.”
You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
so that I can sing to You and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise You forever. that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever! that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.
