1 A SONG. A PSALM OF DAVID. My heart is prepared, O God, || I sing, indeed, I sing praise, also my glory. My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being! A song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
2 Awake, stringed instrument and harp, || I awake the dawn. Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
3 I thank You among peoples, O YHWH, || And I praise You among the nations. I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
4 For Your kindness [is] great above the heavens, || And Your truth to the clouds. For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
5 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, || And Your glory above all the earth. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
6 That Your beloved ones may be delivered, || Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us. That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me! Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.
7 God has spoken in His holiness: I exult, I apportion Shechem, || And I measure the Valley of Succoth, God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth. God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
8 Gilead [is] Mine, Manasseh [is] Mine, || And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, || Judah [is] My lawgiver, Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter.
9 Moab [is] a pot for My washing, || On Edom I cast My shoe, || Over Philistia I habitually shout. Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.” Moab is my washbasin, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
10 Who brings me [into] the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom? Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
11 Have You not, O God, cast us off? And You do not go out, O God, with our hosts! Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies. Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
12 Give to us help from adversity, || And the salvation of man is vain. Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.
13 We do mightily in God, || And He treads down our adversaries! With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
