1 When Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he left there to teach and preach in their home towns. 10 This is the man about whom it is written, 'See, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.' This is he of whom it is written, “‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’ This is the one about whom it is written: “’I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’
11 I tell all of you with certainty, among those born of women no one has appeared who is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least important person in the kingdom from heaven is greater than he. Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 |From the days of John the Baptist until the present, the kingdom from heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people have been attacking it, From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.
13 because the Law and all the Prophets prophesied up to the time of John. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
14 If you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come. and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.

20 Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had taken place, because they didn't repent. 21 |How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible it will be for you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles that happened in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 Indeed I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on Judgment Day than for you! But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
23 |And you, Capernaum! You won't be lifted up to heaven, will you? You'll go down to Hell! Because if the miracles that happened in you had taken place in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.
24 Indeed I tell you, it will be more bearable for the land of Sodom on Judgment Day than for you!| But I tell you that it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.” But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”
25 At that time Jesus said, |I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from wise and intelligent people and have revealed them to infants. At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
