1 And YHWH said to Noah, “Go, you and all your house, into the ark, because you I have seen righteous before My face in this generation. Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation. The LORD then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
2 From every clean animal you shall take with you seven by seven, a male and his female; and from the animals that are not clean, from these two: A male and his female; Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,
3 also from each bird of the heavens, seven by seven, male and female, to keep alive the seed upon the face of all the earth. and seven pairs of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth. and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
4 For after seven more days I am sending rain upon the earth for forty days and forty nights; I will wipe out every living thing that I have made from the face of the ground!” For in seven days I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.” Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”
5 And Noah did according to all that YHWH had commanded him. And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him. And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.
6 And Noah was a son of six hundred years, and the flood of waters came upon the earth. Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.
7 And Noah entered—and his sons, and his wife, and the wives of his sons with him—into the ark, from the face of the waters of the flood. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
8 From the clean animal, and from the animal that is not clean, and from the bird and everything that crawls on the ground, Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,
9 two by two they came to Noah, to the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah. two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass, after the seven days, that the waters of the flood came upon the earth. And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth. And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year, in that year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seven and tenth day of the month—on this day burst forth all the fountains of the great deep, and the windows of the heavens were opened. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
12 And rain was upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 On this very day entered Noah, and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark— On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark, On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
14 they and every beast according to its kind, and all the livestock according to its kind, and every crawling thing that crawls on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind (every bird of every wing). they and every beast, according to its kind, and all the livestock according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, according to its kind, and every bird, according to its kind, every winged creature. They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.
15 And they came to Noah, to the ark, two by two, from all the flesh in which is the breath of life. They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life. Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.
16 And those coming in, male and female from all flesh, they went in as God had commanded him. And YHWH shut it behind him. And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him. And the LORD shut him in. The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
17 And the flood kept coming forty days on the earth, and the waters multiplied, and they lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. The flood continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark moved about on the face of the waters. The waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the face of the waters. The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
19 And the waters prevailed greatly, greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains that were under all the heavens were covered. And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.
20 Five and ten cubits upward the waters prevailed, and the mountains were covered. The waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep. The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits.
21 And all flesh that moved on the earth perished—the bird, and the livestock, and the beast, and every swarming thing that swarms on the earth, and all mankind. And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind. Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.
22 Everything that had in its nostrils the breath of the spirit of life—of all that was on the dry land—died. Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
23 And He wiped out every living thing that was on the face of the ground: From mankind to livestock to crawling thing and to the bird of the heavens. And they were wiped out from the earth, and only Noah remained, and those who were with him in the ark. He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed on the earth fifty and a hundred days. And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
