1 The LORD said to Moses, The LORD said to Moses, The LORD said to Moses,
2 |Tell the Israelites to choose something to give me as a special contribution. You must accept whatever contribution each person freely gives. “Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.
3 This is the kind of contribution you will accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze, And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;
4 violet, purple, and bright red yarn, fine linen, goats' hair, blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats’ hair, blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;
5 rams' skins dyed red, fine leather, acacia wood, tanned rams’ skins, goatskins, acacia wood, ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood;
6 olive oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet-smelling incense, oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
7 onyx stones, and other precious stones to be set in the [chief priest's] ephod and his breastplate. onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
8 |Then have them make a holy place for me, and I will live among them. And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst. “Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.
9 Make the tent and all its furnishings exactly like the plans I am showing you. Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
10 |Make an ark of acacia wood 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high. “They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. “Have them make an ark of acacia wood—two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
11 Cover it with pure gold inside and out, and put a gold molding around it. You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it. Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.
12 Cast four gold rings for it, and fasten them to its four feet, two rings on each side. You shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them on its four feet, two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
13 Make poles of acacia wood, and cover them with gold. You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

16 Then you will put into the ark the words of my promise which I will give you. And you shall put into the ark the testimony that I shall give you. Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.
17 |Make a throne of mercy to cover the ark out of pure gold 45 inches long and 27 inches wide. “You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. “Make an atonement cover of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
18 Make two angels out of hammered gold for the two ends of the throne of mercy, And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.
19 one on each end. Form the angels and the throne of mercy out of one piece of gold. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.
20 The angels should have their wings spread above the throne of mercy, overshadowing it. They should face each other, looking at the throne of mercy. The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.
21 After you put into the ark the words of my promise which I will give you, place the throne of mercy on top. And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you.
22 I will be above the throne of mercy between the angels whenever I meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel. There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
23 |Make a table of acacia wood 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high. “You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. “Make a table of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.
24 Cover it with pure gold, and put a gold molding around it. You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a molding of gold around it. Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.
25 Make a rim three inches wide around it, and put a gold molding around the rim. And you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth wide, and a molding of gold around the rim. Also make around it a rim a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim.
26 Make four gold rings for it, and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs. Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are.
27 The rings are to be close to the rim. They are to hold the poles for carrying the table. Close to the frame the rings shall lie, as holders for the poles to carry the table. The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table.
28 Make the poles out of acacia wood, cover them with gold, and use them to carry the table. You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these. Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them.
29 Make plates and dishes for the table out of pure gold, as well as pitchers and bowls to be used for pouring wine offerings. And you shall make its plates and dishes for incense, and its flagons and bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.
30 Put the bread of the presence on this table so that it will be in front of me all the time. And you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly. Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.
31 |Make a lamp stand out of pure gold. The lamp stand, its base, and its shaft, as well as the flower cups, buds, and petals must be hammered out of one piece of gold. “You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. “Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.
32 Six branches are to come out of the sides, three branches on one side and three on the other. And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it; Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other.
33 Each of the six branches coming out of the lamp stand is to have three flower cups shaped like almond blossoms, with buds and petals. three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand.
34 The lamp stand itself is to have four flower cups shaped like almond blossoms, with buds and petals. And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers, And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms.
35 There should be a bud under each of the three pairs of branches coming out of the lamp stand. and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand. One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair—six branches in all.
36 The buds and branches should also be hammered out of the same piece of pure gold as the lamp stand. Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold. The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
37 |Make seven lamps, and set them on the lamp stand so that they light up [the area] in front of it. You shall make seven lamps for it. And the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it. “Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it.
38 The tongs and incense burners must be made of pure gold. Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold. Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold.
39 Use 75 pounds of pure gold to make the lamp stand and all the utensils. It shall be made, with all these utensils, out of a talent of pure gold. A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories.
40 Be sure to make them according to the plans you were shown on the mountain.| And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain. See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
