6 and shewing mercy unto thousands, of them that love me and keep my commandments. but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.
11 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off. Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance
19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”
20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not. Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. And the LORD said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the people of Israel: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven:
23 Ye shall not make other gods with me; gods of silver, or gods of gold, ye shall not make unto you. You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in every place where I record my name I will come unto thee and I will bless thee. An altar of earth you shall make for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I cause my name to be remembered I will come to you and bless you. “’Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you.
25 And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stones: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stones, for if you wield your tool on it you profane it. If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. And you shall not go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness be not exposed on it.’ And do not go up to my altar on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.’
