Psalm 66
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!1Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.2Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah4Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.5Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people!
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.6He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him.
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude
Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,8Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises.
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved.9Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.10You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver.
You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.11You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs.
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.12Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,13Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you—
Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.14yes, the sacred vows that I made when I was in deep trouble.
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah15That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you— the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma, and a sacrifice of bulls and male goats. Interlude
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.16Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.17For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.18If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.19But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!20Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.
