To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!1For the choirmaster. A song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.2Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.3Say to God, “How awesome are Your deeds! So great is Your power that Your enemies cower before You.
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah4All the earth bows down to You; they sing praise to You; they sing praise to Your name.” Selah
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.5Come and see the works of God; how awesome are His deeds toward mankind.
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.6He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the waters on foot; there we rejoiced in Him.
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7He rules forever by His power; His eyes watch the nations. Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,8Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of His praise be heard.
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved.9He preserves our lives and keeps our feet from slipping.
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.10For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us like silver.
You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.11You led us into the net; You laid burdens on our backs.
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.12You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us into abundance.
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,13I will enter Your house with burnt offerings; I will fulfill my vows to You—
Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.14the vows that my lips promised and my mouth spoke in my distress.
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah15I will offer You fatlings as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will offer bulls and goats. Selah
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.16Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for me.
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.17I cried out to Him with my mouth and praised Him with my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.18If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.19But God has surely heard; He has attended to the sound of my prayer.
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!20Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld from me His loving devotion!
