To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!1For the music director; a song, a psalm. Shout out praise to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.2Sing praises about the majesty of his reputation! Give him the honor he deserves!
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.3Say to God: "How awesome are your deeds! Because of your great power your enemies cower in fear before you.
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah4All the earth worships you and sings praises to you! They sing praises to your name!" (Selah)
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.5Come and witness God's exploits! His acts on behalf of people are awesome!
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.6He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. Let us rejoice in him there!
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7He rules by his power forever; he watches the nations. Stubborn rebels should not exalt themselves. (Selah)
Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,8Praise our God, you nations! Loudly proclaim his praise!
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved.9He preserves our lives and does not allow our feet to slip.
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.10For you, O God, tested us; you purified us like refined silver.
You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.11You led us into a trap; you caused us to suffer.
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.12You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place.
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,13I will enter your temple with burnt sacrifices; I will fulfill the vows I made to you,
Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.14which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah15I will offer up to you fattened animals as burnt sacrifices, along with the smell of sacrificial rams. I will offer cattle and goats. (Selah)
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.16Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God! I will declare what he has done for me.
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.17I cried out to him for help and praised him with my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.18If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.19However, God heard; he listened to my prayer.
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!20God deserves praise, for he did not reject my prayer or abandon his love for me!
