Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,1Then the LORD said to Moses,
"See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.2"See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
"I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,3and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills--
to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze,4to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.5to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.
"And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, that they may make all that I have commanded you:6Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:
the tent of meeting, and the ark of testimony, and the mercy seat upon it, and all the furniture of the tent,7the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent--
the table also and its utensils, and the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense,8the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,
the altar of burnt offering also with all its utensils, and the laver and its stand,9the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand--
the woven garments as well, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, with which to carry on their priesthood;10and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,
the anointing oil also, and the fragrant incense for the holy place, they are to make them according to all that I have commanded you."11and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you."
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,12Then the LORD said to Moses,
"But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.13"Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
'Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.14"'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death; those who do any work on that day must be cut off from their people.
'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.15For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death.
'So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.'16The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
"It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed."17It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'"
When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.18When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
