King James BibleBerean Study Bible
A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.1A song. A Psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my being.
Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.2Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.3I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing Your praises among the peoples.
For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.4For Your loving devotion extends beyond the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory cover all the earth.
That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.6Respond and save us with Your right hand, that Your beloved may be delivered.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.7God has spoken from His sanctuary: “I will triumph! I will parcel out Shechem and apportion the Valley of Succoth.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;8Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is My helmet, Judah is My scepter.
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.9Moab is My washbasin; upon Edom I toss My sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?11Have You not rejected us, O God? Will You no longer march out, O God, with our armies?
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.12Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.13With God we will perform with valor, and He will trample our enemies.
