The LORD told Moses, 1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
"Look, I've called Uri's son Bezalel, grandson of Hur from Judah's tribe 2See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
and I've filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of craftsmanship 3And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
to create plans for work in gold, silver, and bronze, 4To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
and for cutting stones to set them, for carving wood, and for doing all kinds of craftsmanship. 5And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
Along with him I'm appointing Ahisamach's son Oholiab from the tribe of Dan, and I've given wisdom to all who are skilled so they can make everything that I've commanded you, 6And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
including the Tent of Meeting, the Ark of the Testimony, the Mercy Seat that is on it, all the furnishings of the tent— 7The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
the table and its furnishings, the lamp stand of pure gold, all its furnishings, the altar of incense, 8And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,
the altar for burnt offerings, its furnishings, the basin, its base, 9And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,
the woven garments, the holy garments of Aaron the priest, the garments of his sons as they serve as priests, 10And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office,
the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them in accordance with everything that I commanded you."11And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
The LORD told Moses, 12And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
"You are to tell the Israelis: 'You are to certainly observe my Sabbaths because it's a sign between me and you from generation to generation, so you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. 13Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
You are to observe the Sabbath, because it's holy for you. Whoever profanes it is certainly to die; indeed, whoever does work on it is to be cut off from among his people. 14Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Work may be done for six days, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does work on the Sabbath is certainly to die. 15Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
The Israelis are to keep the Sabbath to make the Sabbath observance a perpetual covenant from generation to generation. 16Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
It is a sign forever between me and the Israelis, because the LORD made the heavens and the earth in six days, but on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'"17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
When he finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two Tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone written by the finger of God.18And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
