Lawsuits among Believers

1Dare any one of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2Or know ye not that the saints will judge the world? And, if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of the smallest tribunals? 3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, then, things pertaining to this life? 4If, then, ye have tribunals pertaining to this life, do ye set those to judge who are set at nought in the assembly? 5I speak to your shame! Is it so, that there is not among you even one wise man, who will be able to judge between his brethren? 6But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

7Already, therefore, it is wholly a loss to you, that ye have law-suits one with another! Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? 8But ye yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren!

Members of Christ

9Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, 10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the Kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you; but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

12All things are lawful for me; but all are not profitable. All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the control of any. 13Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach for foods; but God will bring to nought both this and these. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body; 14and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up us through His power. 15Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I, then, taking away the members of Christ, make them members of a harlot? It could not be! 16Or know ye not that he who is united to the harlot is one body? For, "the two", He saith, "shall be one flesh"; 17but he who is united to the Lord is one spirit.

The Temple of the Holy Spirit
(Romans 12:1–8; 1 Corinthians 3:16–23)

18Flee fornication. Every sin which a man commits is without the body; but he that commits adultery sins against his own body. 19Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom ye have from God, and that ye are not your own? 20For ye were bought with a price; glorify God, therefore, in your body.
