He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
For He will save you from the trap of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not be afraid of the terror of night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon. nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But danger will not come near you. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High]. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD, [who is] my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For He will command His angels in regard to you, To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
They will lift you up in their hands, So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra; The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him; I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never]. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
“With a long life I will satisfy him And I will let him see My salvation.” With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
