Prayse ye the Lorde, prayse ye the name of God: prayse it ye seruauntes of God. Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD, give praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD; praise him, you servants of the LORD,
Ye that stande in the house of God: in the courtes of the house of our Lord, who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God! you who minister in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.
Prayse ye the Lorde, for God is gratious: sing psalmes vnto his name, for it is pleasaunt. Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing to his name, for it is pleasant! Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.
For the Lorde hath chosen Iacob vnto hym selfe: and Israel for his owne possession. For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession. For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession.
For I knowe that God is great: and that our Lorde is aboue all gods. For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods.
God doth whatsoeuer pleaseth hym in heauen and in earth: in the sea, and in all deepe places. Whatever the LORD pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps. The LORD does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.
He causeth cloudes to ascende from the lowest part of the earth: he maketh it to lighten when it rayneth, he bringeth wyndes out of his treasure houses. He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses. He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
He smote the first borne of Egypt: aswell of beast as of man. He it was who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and of beast; He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, the firstborn of people and animals.
He sent tokens and wonders into the mydst of thee O Egypt: against Pharao and all his seruauntes. who in your midst, O Egypt, sent signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants; He sent his signs and wonders into your midst, Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.
He smote many nations: and slue mightie kinges. who struck down many nations and killed mighty kings, He struck down many nations and killed mighty kings—
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og the king of Bashan: and all the kingdomes of Chanaan. Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan, Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan—
And he gaue their lande for an inheritaunce: euen for an heritaunce to Israel his people. and gave their land as a heritage, a heritage to his people Israel. and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel.
Thy name O God endureth for euer: there wil be a remembraunce of thee O God, from one generation to another. Your name, O LORD, endures forever, your renown, O LORD, throughout all ages. Your name, LORD, endures forever, your renown, LORD, through all generations.
For God wyll iudge his people: and he will be pacified beyng displeased with his seruauntes. For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants. For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.
As for the idols of the Heathen they are but siluer and golde: the worke of mens handes. The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands.
They haue a mouth and speake not: they haue eyes but they see not. They have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.
They haue eares and they heare not: yea there is no breath in their mouth. they have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. They have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths.
They that make them are lyke vnto them: and euery one that putteth his trust in them. Those who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
Blesse God ye the house of Israel: blesse God ye the house of Aaron. O house of Israel, bless the LORD! O house of Aaron, bless the LORD! All you Israelites, praise the LORD; house of Aaron, praise the LORD;
Blesse God ye the house of Leui: ye that feare God, blesse God. O house of Levi, bless the LORD! You who fear the LORD, bless the LORD! house of Levi, praise the LORD; you who fear him, praise the LORD.
Blessed be God out of Sion: who dwelleth at Hierusalem. Prayse ye the Lorde. Blessed be the LORD from Zion, he who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the LORD! Praise be to the LORD from Zion, to him who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.
