1 A song, a psalm of David. I am determined, O God! I will sing and praise you with my whole heart. My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being! A song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
2 Awake, O stringed instrument and harp! I will wake up at dawn! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
3 I will give you thanks before the nations, O LORD! I will sing praises to you before foreigners! I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
4 For your loyal love extends beyond the sky, and your faithfulness reaches the clouds. For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
5 Rise up above the sky, O God! May your splendor cover the whole earth! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
6 Deliver by your power and answer me, so that the ones you love may be safe. That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me! Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.
7 God has spoken in his sanctuary: |I will triumph! I will parcel out Shechem, the valley of Succoth I will measure off. God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth. God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
8 Gilead belongs to me, as does Manasseh! Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my royal scepter. Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter.

11 Have you not rejected us, O God? O God, you do not go into battle with our armies. Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies. Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
12 Give us help against the enemy, for any help men might offer is futile. Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.
13 By God's power we will conquer; he will trample down our enemies. With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
