1 A Song. A Psalm of David. My heart being firm, O God, I will sing and make music, even with my glory! My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being! A song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
2 Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
3 I will praise You among the peoples, O YHWH, and I will sing praises to You among the nations. I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
4 For great over the heavens is Your loving devotion, and up to the clouds is Your faithfulness. For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
5 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and over all the earth Your glory! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
6 That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and answer me! That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me! Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.
7 God has spoken from His holy place: “I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and measure out the Valley of Succoth. God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth. God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
8 Unto Me is Gilead, unto Me is Manasseh; and Ephraim is the strength of My head, Judah is My scepter. Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter.
9 Moab is the basin of My washing; upon Edom I will cast My sandal; over Philistia I will shout in triumph.” Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.” Moab is my washbasin, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom? Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
11 Have You not, O God, cast us off? And will You no longer go forth, O God, with our armies? Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies. Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
12 May You give to us help from adversity, and the salvation of man is emptiness. Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.
13 With God we will act in strength, and He will trample our adversaries. With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
