6 Λέγει οὖν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς καιρὸς ἐμὸς οὔπω πάρεστιν δὲ καιρὸς ὑμέτερος πάντοτέ ἐστιν ἕτοιμος Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. Therefore Jesus told them, “My time is not yet here; for you any time will do.
7 οὐ δύναται κόσμος μισεῖν ὑμᾶς ἐμὲ δὲ μισεῖ ὅτι ἐγὼ μαρτυρῶ περὶ αὐτοῦ ὅτι τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ πονηρά ἐστιν The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.
8 ὑμεῖς ἀνάβητε εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν ἐγὼ οὐκ ἀναβαίνω εἰς τὴν ἑορτὴν ταύτην ὅτι ἐμὸς καιρὸς οὔπω πεπλήρωται You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.” You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.”
