1	“And these are the names of the tribes: From the border of the north, along the coast of the way of Hethlon, at the entrance of Hamath, unto Hazar-enan, on the border of Damascus northward, toward the hand of Hamath, there will be from the side of the east to the west for Dan one portion.	“These are the names of the tribes: Beginning at the northern extreme, beside the way of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enan (which is on the northern border of Damascus over against Hamath), and extending from the east side to the west, Dan, one portion.	“These are the tribes, listed by name: At the northern frontier, Dan will have one portion; it will follow the Hethlon road to Lebo Hamath; Hazar Enan and the northern border of Damascus next to Hamath will be part of its border from the east side to the west side.
2	And along the border of Dan, from the side of the east to the side of the west, for Asher one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Dan, from the east side to the west, Asher, one portion.	“Asher will have one portion; it will border the territory of Dan from east to west.
3	And along the border of Asher, from the side of the east to the side of the west, for Naphtali one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Asher, from the east side to the west, Naphtali, one portion.	“Naphtali will have one portion; it will border the territory of Asher from east to west.
4	And along the border of Naphtali, from the side of the east to the side of the west, for Manasseh one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Naphtali, from the east side to the west, Manasseh, one portion.	“Manasseh will have one portion; it will border the territory of Naphtali from east to west.
5	And along the border of Manasseh, from the side of the east to the side of the west, for Ephraim one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Manasseh, from the east side to the west, Ephraim, one portion.	“Ephraim will have one portion; it will border the territory of Manasseh from east to west.
6	And along the border of Ephraim, from the side of the east to the side of the west, for Reuben one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Ephraim, from the east side to the west, Reuben, one portion.	“Reuben will have one portion; it will border the territory of Ephraim from east to west.
7	And along the border of Reuben, from the side of the east to the side of the west, for Judah one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Reuben, from the east side to the west, Judah, one portion.	“Judah will have one portion; it will border the territory of Reuben from east to west.
8	And along the border of Judah, from the side of the east to the side of the west, will be the portion that you⁺ will lift up—five and twenty thousand in width, and in length as one of the portions, from the side of the east to the side of the west, with the sanctuary in the middle of it.	“Adjoining the territory of Judah, from the east side to the west, shall be the portion which you shall set apart, 25,000 cubits in breadth, and in length equal to one of the tribal portions, from the east side to the west, with the sanctuary in the midst of it.	“Bordering the territory of Judah from east to west will be the portion you are to present as a special gift. It will be 25,000 cubits wide, and its length from east to west will equal one of the tribal portions; the sanctuary will be in the center of it.
9	The portion that you⁺ shall lift up for YHWH shall be five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in width.	The portion that you shall set apart for the LORD shall be 25,000 cubits in length, and 20,000 in breadth.	“The special portion you are to offer to the LORD will be 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide.
10	And to these will be the holy portion for the priests: To the north five and twenty thousand, and to the west ten thousand in width, and to the east ten thousand in width, and to the south five and twenty thousand in length; and the sanctuary of YHWH will be in the middle of it	These shall be the allotments of the holy portion: the priests shall have an allotment measuring 25,000 cubits on the northern side, 10,000 cubits in breadth on the western side, 10,000 in breadth on the eastern side, and 25,000 in length on the southern side, with the sanctuary of the LORD in the midst of it.	This will be the sacred portion for the priests. It will be 25,000 cubits long on the north side, 10,000 cubits wide on the west side, 10,000 cubits wide on the east side and 25,000 cubits long on the south side. In the center of it will be the sanctuary of the LORD.
11	for the priests who are sanctified from the sons of Zadok, those who have kept My charge, who did not go astray in the straying of the sons of Israel, as the Levites went astray.	This shall be for the consecrated priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge, who did not go astray when the people of Israel went astray, as the Levites did.	This will be for the consecrated priests, the Zadokites, who were faithful in serving me and did not go astray as the Levites did when the Israelites went astray.
12	And a special portion will be for them from the portion of the land, a holy of holies, toward the border of the Levites.	And it shall belong to them as a special portion from the holy portion of the land, a most holy place, adjoining the territory of the Levites.	It will be a special gift to them from the sacred portion of the land, a most holy portion, bordering the territory of the Levites.
13	And the Levites shall be next to the border of the priests, five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in width; all the length shall be five and twenty thousand, and the width ten thousand.	And alongside the territory of the priests, the Levites shall have an allotment 25,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in breadth. The whole length shall be 25,000 cubits and the breadth 20,000.	“Alongside the territory of the priests, the Levites will have an allotment 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide. Its total length will be 25,000 cubits and its width 10,000 cubits.
14	And they shall not sell of it, and not exchange it; and they must not cause to pass through the firstfruit of the land, for it is holy to YHWH.	They shall not sell or exchange any of it. They shall not alienate this choice portion of the land, for it is holy to the LORD.	They must not sell or exchange any of it. This is the best of the land and must not pass into other hands, because it is holy to the LORD.
15	And the five thousand that are remaining in width, along the edge of the five and twenty thousand, is for common use; it is for the city, for dwellings, and for pastureland; and the city will be in the middle of it.	“The remainder, 5,000 cubits in breadth and 25,000 in length, shall be for common use for the city, for dwellings and for open country. In the midst of it shall be the city,	“The remaining area, 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, will be for the common use of the city, for houses and for pastureland. The city will be in the center of it
16	And these shall be its measurements: The side of the north, five hundred and four thousand; and the side of the south, five and five hundred and four thousand; and the side of the east, five hundred and four thousand; and the side of the west, five hundred and four thousand.	and these shall be its measurements: the north side 4,500 cubits, the south side 4,500, the east side 4,500, and the west side 4,500.	and will have these measurements: the north side 4,500 cubits, the south side 4,500 cubits, the east side 4,500 cubits, and the west side 4,500 cubits.
17	And the pastureland for the city will be to the north fifty and two hundred, and to the south fifty and two hundred, and to the east fifty and two hundred, and to the west fifty and two hundred.	And the city shall have open land: on the north 250 cubits, on the south 250, on the east 250, and on the west 250.	The pastureland for the city will be 250 cubits on the north, 250 cubits on the south, 250 cubits on the east, and 250 cubits on the west.
18	And the remainder of the length alongside the holy portion shall be ten thousand to the east, and ten thousand to the west; and it will be adjacent to the holy portion, and its produce will be for food for the workers of the city.	The remainder of the length alongside the holy portion shall be 10,000 cubits to the east, and 10,000 to the west, and it shall be alongside the holy portion. Its produce shall be food for the workers of the city.	What remains of the area, bordering on the sacred portion and running the length of it, will be 10,000 cubits on the east side and 10,000 cubits on the west side. Its produce will supply food for the workers of the city.
19	And the workers of the city will work it from all the tribes of Israel.	And the workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall till it.	The workers from the city who farm it will come from all the tribes of Israel.
20	All the portion shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand, foursquare; you⁺ shall lift up the holy portion along with the property of the city.	The whole portion that you shall set apart shall be 25,000 cubits square, that is, the holy portion together with the property of the city.	The entire portion will be a square, 25,000 cubits on each side. As a special gift you will set aside the sacred portion, along with the property of the city.
21	And the remainder is unto the prince, on this side and on this side of the holy portion and the property of the city; toward the faces of the five and twenty thousand portion alongside the border of the east, and westward alongside the faces of the five and twenty thousand along the border of the west, adjacent to the allotments, is unto the prince. The holy portion and the sanctuary of the temple will be in the midst of it.	“What remains on both sides of the holy portion and of the property of the city shall belong to the prince. Extending from the 25,000 cubits of the holy portion to the east border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the west border, parallel to the tribal portions, it shall belong to the prince. The holy portion with the sanctuary of the temple shall be in its midst.	“What remains on both sides of the area formed by the sacred portion and the property of the city will belong to the prince. It will extend eastward from the 25,000 cubits of the sacred portion to the eastern border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the western border. Both these areas running the length of the tribal portions will belong to the prince, and the sacred portion with the temple sanctuary will be in the center of them.
22	And apart from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, in the midst of what will be unto the prince, between the border of Judah and between the border of Benjamin, will be unto the prince.	It shall be separate from the property of the Levites and the property of the city, which are in the midst of that which belongs to the prince. The portion of the prince shall lie between the territory of Judah and the territory of Benjamin.	So the property of the Levites and the property of the city will lie in the center of the area that belongs to the prince. The area belonging to the prince will lie between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin.
23	And the rest of the tribes: From the side of the east to the side of the west, Benjamin has one portion.	“As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west, Benjamin, one portion.	“As for the rest of the tribes: Benjamin will have one portion; it will extend from the east side to the west side.
24	And along the border of Benjamin, from the side of the east to the side of the west, Simeon has one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Benjamin, from the east side to the west, Simeon, one portion.	“Simeon will have one portion; it will border the territory of Benjamin from east to west.
25	And along the border of Simeon, from the side of the east to the side of the west, Issachar has one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Simeon, from the east side to the west, Issachar, one portion.	“Issachar will have one portion; it will border the territory of Simeon from east to west.
26	And along the border of Issachar, from the side of the east to the side of the west, Zebulun has one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Issachar, from the east side to the west, Zebulun, one portion.	“Zebulun will have one portion; it will border the territory of Issachar from east to west.
27	And along the border of Zebulun, from the side of the east to the side of the west, Gad has one portion.	Adjoining the territory of Zebulun, from the east side to the west, Gad, one portion.	“Gad will have one portion; it will border the territory of Zebulun from east to west.
28	And along the border of Gad, on the side of the Negev, toward the south, the border will be from Tamar to the waters of Meribah Kadesh, along the brook of Egypt to the Great Sea.	And adjoining the territory of Gad to the south, the boundary shall run from Tamar to the waters of Meribah-kadesh, from there along the Brook of Egypt to the Great Sea.	“The southern boundary of Gad will run south from Tamar to the waters of Meribah Kadesh, then along the Wadi of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea.
29	This is the land that you⁺ shall allot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions,” a declaration of the Lord YHWH.	This is the land that you shall allot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions, declares the Lord GOD.	“This is the land you are to allot as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel, and these will be their portions,” declares the Sovereign LORD.
30	“And these are the exits of the city: On the side of the north, which is five hundred and four thousand by measure,	“These shall be the exits of the city: On the north side, which is to be 4,500 cubits by measure,	“These will be the exits of the city: Beginning on the north side, which is 4,500 cubits long,
31	and these gates of the city are according to the names of the tribes of Israel: Three gates to the north—one gate for Reuben, one gate for Judah, and one gate for Levi.	three gates, the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah, and the gate of Levi, the gates of the city being named after the tribes of Israel.	the gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel. The three gates on the north side will be the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah and the gate of Levi.
32	And on the side of the east, five hundred and four thousand, also three gates—one gate for Joseph, one gate for Benjamin, and one gate for Dan.	On the east side, which is to be 4,500 cubits, three gates, the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin, and the gate of Dan.	“On the east side, which is 4,500 cubits long, will be three gates: the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin and the gate of Dan.
33	And on the side of the south, five hundred and four thousand by measure, also three gates—one gate for Simeon, one gate for Issachar, and one gate for Zebulun.	On the south side, which is to be 4,500 cubits by measure, three gates, the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar, and the gate of Zebulun.	“On the south side, which measures 4,500 cubits, will be three gates: the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar and the gate of Zebulun.
34	On the side of the west, five hundred and four thousand, their three gates—one gate for Gad, one gate for Asher, and one gate for Naphtali.	On the west side, which is to be 4,500 cubits, three gates, the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher, and the gate of Naphtali.	“On the west side, which is 4,500 cubits long, will be three gates: the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher and the gate of Naphtali.
35	All around it eighteen thousand. And the name of the city from that day is: YHWH Shammah.	The circumference of the city shall be 18,000 cubits. And the name of the city from that time on shall be, The LORD Is There.”	“The distance all around will be 18,000 cubits. “And the name of the city from that time on will be: the Lord is there.”
