1	And he brought me to the gate—the gate that is facing toward the east.	Then he led me to the gate, the gate facing east.	Then the man brought me to the gate facing east,
2	And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east, and His voice was like the voice of many waters, and the earth shone with His glory.	And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the east. And the sound of his coming was like the sound of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory.	and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory.
3	And it was according to the appearance of the vision that I had seen, like the vision that I had seen when He came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw at the River Kebar. And I fell on my face.	And the vision I saw was just like the vision that I had seen when he came to destroy the city, and just like the vision that I had seen by the Chebar canal. And I fell on my face.	The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when he came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown.
4	And the glory of YHWH came into the temple by the way of the gate that has its face toward the east.	As the glory of the LORD entered the temple by the gate facing east,	The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east.
5	And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and behold, the glory of YHWH filled the temple.	the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the temple.	Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.
6	And I heard one speaking to me from the temple, and the man was standing beside me.	While the man was standing beside me, I heard one speaking to me out of the temple,	While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple.
7	And He said to me: “Son of man, the place of My throne, and the place for the soles of My feet, in which I will dwell there in the midst of the sons of Israel forever; and the house of Israel will defile no more My holy name, they and their kings with their prostitution, and the corpses of their kings at their deaths,	and he said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoring and by the dead bodies of their kings at their high places,	He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name—neither they nor their kings—by their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings at their death.
8	by their giving their threshold next to My threshold, and their doorpost beside My doorpost, and the wall between Me and between them. And they have defiled My holy name by the abominations that they did, and I finished them off in My anger.	by setting their threshold by my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them. They have defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed, so I have consumed them in my anger.	When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger.
9	Now let them remove their prostitution, and the corpses of their kings, away from Me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.	Now let them put away their whoring and the dead bodies of their kings far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.	Now let them put away from me their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings, and I will live among them forever.
10	You, son of man, describe to the house of Israel the temple, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.	“As for you, son of man, describe to the house of Israel the temple, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and they shall measure the plan.	“Son of man, describe the temple to the people of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their sins. Let them consider its perfection,
11	And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, the design of the temple, and its arrangement, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its design, and all its statutes, and all its forms, and all its laws, make known to them. And write it before their eyes, so that they may keep all its design and all its ordinances, and do them.	And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple, its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, that is, its whole design; and make known to them as well all its statutes and its whole design and all its laws, and write it down in their sight, so that they may observe all its laws and all its statutes and carry them out.	and if they are ashamed of all they have done, make known to them the design of the temple—its arrangement, its exits and entrances—its whole design and all its regulations and laws. Write these down before them so that they may be faithful to its design and follow all its regulations.
12	This is the law of the temple: On the top of the mountain, all its border round about, is the holy of holies. Behold, this is the law of the temple.	This is the law of the temple: the whole territory on the top of the mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the temple.	“This is the law of the temple: All the surrounding area on top of the mountain will be most holy. Such is the law of the temple.
13	And these are the measurements of the altar in cubits (a cubit is a cubit and a handbreadth): The base shall be one cubit high and one cubit wide, and its rim to its edge all around a span of one; and this is the height of the altar.	“These are the measurements of the altar by cubits (the cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth): its base shall be one cubit high and one cubit broad, with a rim of one span around its edge. And this shall be the height of the altar:	“These are the measurements of the altar in long cubits, that cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth: Its gutter is a cubit deep and a cubit wide, with a rim of one span around the edge. And this is the height of the altar:
14	And from the base on the ground up to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge, four cubits, and the width a cubit.	from the base on the ground to the lower ledge, two cubits, with a breadth of one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge, four cubits, with a breadth of one cubit;	From the gutter on the ground up to the lower ledge that goes around the altar it is two cubits high, and the ledge is a cubit wide. From this lower ledge to the upper ledge that goes around the altar it is four cubits high, and that ledge is also a cubit wide.
15	And the altar hearth shall be four cubits high, and from the hearth and upward are four horns.	and the altar hearth, four cubits; and from the altar hearth projecting upward, four horns.	Above that, the altar hearth is four cubits high, and four horns project upward from the hearth.
16	And the altar hearth shall be twelve long by twelve wide, being square at the four of its corners.	The altar hearth shall be square, twelve cubits long by twelve broad.	The altar hearth is square, twelve cubits long and twelve cubits wide.
17	And the ledge shall be fourteen long, and fourteen wide, on the four of its sides, with a rim around it half a cubit, and the base for it a cubit all around; and its steps shall face toward the east.”	The ledge also shall be square, fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad, with a rim around it half a cubit broad, and its base one cubit all around. The steps of the altar shall face east.”	The upper ledge also is square, fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits wide. All around the altar is a gutter of one cubit with a rim of half a cubit. The steps of the altar face east.”
18	And he said to me: “Son of man, thus says the Lord YHWH: ‘These are the ordinances for the altar on the day of its being made to sacrifice burnt offerings on it, and to sprinkle blood on it.	And he said to me, “Son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: These are the ordinances for the altar: On the day when it is erected for offering burnt offerings upon it and for throwing blood against it,	Then he said to me, “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: These will be the regulations for sacrificing burnt offerings and splashing blood against the altar when it is built:
19	And you shall give to the priests, the Levites, those who are of the seed of Zadok, who are near to Me, a declaration of the Lord YHWH, to minister to Me, a bull, a son of the herd, as a sin offering.	you shall give to the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok, who draw near to me to minister to me, declares the Lord GOD, a bull from the herd for a sin offering.	You are to give a young bull as a sin offering to the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok, who come near to minister before me, declares the Sovereign LORD.
20	And you shall take from its blood and put it upon the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim around it; and you will cleanse it from sin and make atonement for it.	And you shall take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the ledge and upon the rim all around. Thus you shall purify the altar and make atonement for it.	You are to take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the upper ledge and all around the rim, and so purify the altar and make atonement for it.
21	And you shall take the bull of the sin offering and burn it in the appointed place of the temple, outside of the sanctuary.	You shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and it shall be burned in the appointed place belonging to the temple, outside the sacred area.	You are to take the bull for the sin offering and burn it in the designated part of the temple area outside the sanctuary.
22	And on the second day, you shall offer a kid of the goats, unblemished, for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse from sin the altar, as they cleansed it from sin with the bull.	And on the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering; and the altar shall be purified, as it was purified with the bull.	“On the second day you are to offer a male goat without defect for a sin offering, and the altar is to be purified as it was purified with the bull.
23	When you have finished cleansing from sin, you shall bring near a bull, a son of the herd, unblemished, and a ram from the flock, unblemished.	When you have finished purifying it, you shall offer a bull from the herd without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish.	When you have finished purifying it, you are to offer a young bull and a ram from the flock, both without defect.
24	And you shall present them before YHWH, and the priests shall throw on them salt, and they shall offer them up as a burnt offering to YHWH.	You shall present them before the LORD, and the priests shall sprinkle salt on them and offer them up as a burnt offering to the LORD.	You are to offer them before the LORD, and the priests are to sprinkle salt on them and sacrifice them as a burnt offering to the LORD.
25	Seven days you shall prepare a goat for a sin offering, day by day, and a bull, a son of the herd and a ram from the flock, unblemished, they shall prepare.	For seven days you shall provide daily a male goat for a sin offering; also, a bull from the herd and a ram from the flock, without blemish, shall be provided.	“For seven days you are to provide a male goat daily for a sin offering; you are also to provide a young bull and a ram from the flock, both without defect.
26	Seven days they shall make atonement for the altar and purify it, and they shall fill its hands.	Seven days shall they make atonement for the altar and cleanse it, and so consecrate it.	For seven days they are to make atonement for the altar and cleanse it; thus they will dedicate it.
27	And are completed these days, and it shall come to pass on the eighth day and thereafter, that the priests shall make upon the altar your⁺ burnt offerings and your⁺ peace offerings, and will I accept you⁺, a declaration of the Lord YHWH.’”	And when they have completed these days, then from the eighth day onward the priests shall offer on the altar your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, and I will accept you, declares the Lord GOD.”	At the end of these days, from the eighth day on, the priests are to present your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on the altar. Then I will accept you, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
