1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, The LORD said to Moses, The LORD said to Moses,
2 Speak to the Israelites to set aside an offering for me; of every man that gives it willingly with his heart you shall take an offering. “Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.
3 And this is the offering which you shall take of them: gold, silver, and brass, And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;
4 Blue, purple, and scarlet, fine linen, and goats' hair, blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats’ hair, blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;
5 And rams' skins dyed red, skins dyed with vermilion, and shittim wood, tanned rams’ skins, goatskins, acacia wood, ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood;
6 Oil for the lamps, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
7 Onyx stones, and precious stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate. onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
8 And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst. “Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.
9 According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all the vessels thereof, even so shall you make it. Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood, two and a half cubits long, and a cubit and a half broad, and a cubit and a half high. “They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. “Have them make an ark of acacia wood—two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
11 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, without and within shall you overlay it, and shall make upon it a crown of gold round about. You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it. Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.
12 And you shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. You shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them on its four feet, two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
13 And you shall make poles of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
14 And you shall put the poles into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them. And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark by them. Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it.
15 The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall never be taken out of them. The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it. The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed.
16 And you shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you. And you shall put into the ark the testimony that I shall give you. Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.
17 And you shall make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long, and a cubit and a half broad. “You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. “Make an atonement cover of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
18 And you shall make two cherubim of gold, of cast work shall you make them, on the two sides of the mercy seat. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.
19 And make one cherub on the one side, and the other cherub on the other side of the mercy seat; thus you shall make two cherubim on the two sides thereof. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.
20 And the cherubim shall spread forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.
21 And you shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you.
22 And there I will meet you, and I will commune with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will command you concerning the children of Israel. There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel. There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
23 You shall also make a table of shittim wood, two cubits long, a cubit broad, and a cubit and a half high. “You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. “Make a table of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.
24 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make for it a crown of gold round about. You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a molding of gold around it. Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.
25 And you shall make for it a border of a handbreadth round about, and you shall make a golden crown for the border thereof round about. And you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth wide, and a molding of gold around the rim. Also make around it a rim a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim.
26 And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof. And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs. Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are.
27 The rings shall be put toward the border to be places for the poles to carry the table. Close to the frame the rings shall lie, as holders for the poles to carry the table. The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table.
28 You shall make the poles of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them. You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these. Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them.
29 You shall make dishes, spoons, jars, and bowls to pour out wine with them; of pure gold you shall make them. And you shall make its plates and dishes for incense, and its flagons and bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.
30 And you shall set shewbread on the table before me always. And you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly. Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.
31 And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold; of cast work shall the candlestick be made; its shaft, its branches, its bowls, its buds, and its flowers shall be of one piece. “You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. “Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.
32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side; And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it; Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other.
33 Three bowls shall be fastened on one shaft, with buds and flowers on one branch; and three bowls shall be fastened on another shaft, with buds and flowers on the other branch; so on all the six branches that come out of the candlestick. three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand.
34 And on the candlestick shall be four bowls made like almonds, with their buds and flowers. And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers, And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms.
35 And there shall be a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, likewise for the six branches that come out of the candlestick. and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand. One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair—six branches in all.
36 Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece; all of it shall be of one piece cast of pure gold. Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold. The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
37 And you shall make the seven lamps thereof; and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it. You shall make seven lamps for it. And the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it. “Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it.
38 And you shall make snuffers thereof, and snuff dishes thereof of pure gold. Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold. Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold.
39 Of a talent of pure gold shall you make it, with all these vessels. It shall be made, with all these utensils, out of a talent of pure gold. A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories.
40 And see that you make them after the same pattern which I have shown you on the mountain. And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain. See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
