3 Ἐν δὲ τῷ πορεύεσθαι ἐγένετο αὐτὸν ἐγγίζειν τῇ Δαμασκῷ ἐξαίφνης τε αὐτὸν περιήστραψεν φῶς ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4 καὶ πεσὼν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἤκουσεν φωνὴν λέγουσαν αὐτῷ Σαοὺλ Σαούλ τί με διώκεις And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
5 Εἶπεν δέ Τίς εἶ Κύριε Ὁ δέ Ἐγώ εἰμι Ἰησοῦς ὃν σὺ διώκεις {σκληρόν σοι πρὸς κέντρα λακτίζειν} {τρέμων τε καὶ θαμβῶν εἶπε Κύριε τί με θέλεις ποιῆσαι} And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.
6 ἀλλὰ ἀνάστηθι καὶ εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ λαληθήσεταί σοι ὅ τί σε δεῖ ποιεῖν But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
