And we preach the gospel to you⁺, the promise having been made to the fathers, And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, “We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors
that God has fulfilled this to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as it has also been written in the second psalm: ‘You are My Son; today I have begotten You.’ this he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm, “‘You are my Son, today I have begotten you.’ he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: “’You are my son; today I have become your father.’
And that He raised Him out from the dead, no more being about to return to decay, He spoke thus: ‘I will give to you⁺ the holy blessings, the faithful ones, of David.’ And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way, “‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’ God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, “’I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’
So also, He says in another place: ‘You will not allow Your Holy One to see decay.’ Therefore he says also in another psalm, “‘You will not let your Holy One see corruption.’ So it is also stated elsewhere: “’You will not let your holy one see decay.’
For indeed David, having served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was added to his fathers, and he saw decay. For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption, “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.
But the One God raised up did not see decay. but he whom God raised up did not see corruption. But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay.
Therefore be it known to you⁺, men, brothers, that through this One forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you⁺. Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
And in Him everyone believing is justified from all things from which you⁺ were not able to be justified in the law of Moses. and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
Take heed, therefore, lest that having been said in the prophets might come about: Beware, therefore, lest what is said in the Prophets should come about: Take care that what the prophets have said does not happen to you:
‘Behold, scoffers, and wonder and perish; for I am working a work in your⁺ days, a work that you⁺ would never believe, even if one should declare it to you⁺.’” “‘Look, you scoffers, be astounded and perish; for I am doing a work in your days, a work that you will not believe, even if one tells it to you.’” “’Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’”
And on their having departed, they were begging these words to be spoken to them on the next Sabbath. As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath. As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath.
And the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and worshiping converts followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, kept persuading them to continue in the grace of God. And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God. When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.
And on the coming Sabbath, almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of the Lord. The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.
But the Jews, having seen the crowds, were filled with jealousy, and they began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, blaspheming. But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him. When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict what Paul was saying and heaped abuse on him.
And Paul and Barnabas, having spoken boldly, said, “It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken first to you⁺. But since you⁺ thrust it away and do not judge yourselves worthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.
For thus the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have placed you as a light for the Gentiles, that you may be for salvation to the end of the earth.’” For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “’I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
And the Gentiles hearing were rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
And the word of the Lord was carried through the whole region. And the word of the Lord was spreading throughout the whole region. The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.
But the Jews incited the worshiping women of honorable position and the principals of the city, and they stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their district. But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.
And having shaken off the dust of the feet against them, they went to Iconium. But they shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium. So they shook the dust off their feet as a warning to them and went to Iconium.
And the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
