1 I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom: I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:
2 Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
3 For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
4 And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
5 But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. Be sober. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
6 For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.

8 As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
9 For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica: Do your best to come to me soon. Do your best to come to me quickly,

15 Whom do thou also avoid, for he hath greatly withstood our words. Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposed our message. You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.
16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge. At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. May it not be charged against them! At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.
17 But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching may be accomplished, and that all the Gentiles may hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.
18 The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work: and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all.
