1 I earnestly testify before God and Christ Jesus, the One being about to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:
2 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; convict, rebuke, exhort, in all patience and teaching. preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
3 For there will be a season when they will not bear with sound teaching, but according to their own passions, having an itching ear, they will heap up teachers to themselves, For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
4 and indeed they will turn away from hearing the truth, and they will be turned aside to myths. and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
5 But you, be sober in all things, suffer hardships, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

17 But the Lord stood by me and empowered me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully carried out, and all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.
18 The Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom, to whom is the glory unto the ages of the ages. Amen. The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
