And I will play before the face of YHWH. | And David said to Michal, “It was before the LORD, who chose me above your father and above all his house, to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the LORD—and I will celebrate before the LORD. | David said to Michal, “It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the LORD. | |
| 22 | And I will be even more undignified than this, and I will be humble in my eyes, and as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be honored.” | I will make myself yet more contemptible than this, and I will be abased in your eyes.
