New King James Version | International Standard Version |
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth. | 1Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to your name be given glory on account of your gracious love and faithfulness. |
Why should the Gentiles say, “So where is their God?” | 2Why should the nations ask "Where now is their God?" |
But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. | 3when our God is in the heavens and he does whatever he desires? |
Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands. | 4Their idols are silver and gold, crafted by human hands. |
They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; | 5They have mouths, but cannot speak; they have eyes, but cannot see. |
They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell; | 6They have ears, but cannot hear; they have noses, but cannot smell. |
They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat. | 7They have hands, but cannot touch; feet, but cannot walk; they cannot even groan with their throats. |
Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them. | 8Those who craft them will become like them, as will all those who trust in them. |
O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. | 9Israel, trust in the LORD! He is their helper and shield. |
O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. | 10House of Aaron, trust in the LORD! He is their helper and shield. |
You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. | 11You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their helper and shield. |
The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. | 12The LORD remembers and blesses us. He will indeed bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. |
He will bless those who fear the LORD, Both small and great. | 13He will bless those who fear the LORD, both the important and the insignificant together. |
May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. | 14May the LORD add to your numbers— to you and to your descendants. |
May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. | 15May you be blessed by the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth. |
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men. | 16The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but he gave the earth to human beings. |
The dead do not praise the LORD, Nor any who go down into silence. | 17Neither can the dead praise the LORD, nor those who go down into the silence of death. |
But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD! | 18But we will bless the LORD from now to eternity. Hallelujah! |
