A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” | 1The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” |
The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! | 2The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! |
Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth. | 3Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. |
The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.” | 4The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” |
The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. | 5The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. |
He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries. | 6He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. |
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head. | 7He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. |
