Ephesians 3
NKJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
New King James VersionEnglish Standard Version
For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—1For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—
if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you,2assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already,3how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.
by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ),4When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,
which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,6This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.7Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,8To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;9and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,
to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,10so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,11This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.13So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,15from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,16that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—18may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,20Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
