Psalm 66
NET Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleInternational Standard Version
For the music director; a song, a psalm. Shout out praise to God, all the earth! 1Shout praise to God all the earth!
Sing praises about the majesty of his reputation! Give him the honor he deserves! 2Sing praise about the glory of his name. Make his praise glorious.
Say to God: "How awesome are your deeds! Because of your great power your enemies cower in fear before you. 3Say to God: "How awesome are your works! Because of your great strength your enemies cringe before you."
All the earth worships you and sings praises to you! They sing praises to your name!" (Selah) 4The whole earth worships you. They sing praise to you. They sing praise to your name. Interlude
Come and witness God's exploits! His acts on behalf of people are awesome! 5Come and see the awesome works of God on behalf of human beings:
He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. Let us rejoice in him there! 6He turned the sea into dry land. Israel crossed the river on foot; let us rejoice in him.
He rules by his power forever; he watches the nations. Stubborn rebels should not exalt themselves. (Selah) 7He rules by his power forever, his eyes watching over the nations. Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Interlude
Praise our God, you nations! Loudly proclaim his praise! 8Bless our God, people, and let the sound of his praise be heard.
He preserves our lives and does not allow our feet to slip. 9He gives us life and does not permit our feet to slip.
For you, O God, tested us; you purified us like refined silver. 10For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver.
You led us into a trap; you caused us to suffer. 11You have led us into a trap and set burdens on our backs.
You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place. 12You caused men to ride over us. You brought us through fire and water, but you led us to abundance.
I will enter your temple with burnt sacrifices; I will fulfill the vows I made to you, 13I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you
which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble. 14that my lips uttered and that my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
I will offer up to you fattened animals as burnt sacrifices, along with the smell of sacrificial rams. I will offer cattle and goats. (Selah) 15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat, along with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams. I will offer bulls along with goats. Interlude
Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God! I will declare what he has done for me. 16Come and listen, all of you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
I cried out to him for help and praised him with my tongue. 17I called aloud to him and praised him with my tongue.
If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. 18Were I to cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen to me.
However, God heard; he listened to my prayer. 19Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers.
God deserves praise, for he did not reject my prayer or abandon his love for me! 20Blessed be God, who did not turn away my prayers nor his gracious love from me.
