| 1Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites is for their salvation. | 1Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. |
| 2For I can testify that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not in line with the truth. | 2For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. |
