I say, "I have composed this special song for the king; my tongue is as skilled as the stylus of an experienced scribe." | 1My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe. |
| 2You are the most handsome of all men! You speak in an impressive and fitting manner! For this reason God grants you continual blessings. | 2You are the most handsome of the sons of men; grace is poured upon your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever. |
