Psalm 30
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David. I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my enemies rejoice over me.1A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David. I will exalt you, LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.2LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
O LORD, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.3You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.
Sing praise to the LORD, you His godly ones, And give thanks to His holy name.4Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Now as for me, I said in my prosperity, "I will never be moved."6When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."
O LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong; You hid Your face, I was dismayed.7LORD, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
To You, O LORD, I called, And to the Lord I made supplication:8To you, LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
"What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?9"What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
"Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be my helper."10Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me; LORD, be my help."
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,11You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.12that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.
