Deuteronomy 34
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
Now Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan,1Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the LORD showed him the whole land--from Gilead to Dan,
and all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the western sea,2all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea,
and the Negev and the plain in the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.3the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar.
Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your descendants'; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there."4Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it."
So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.5And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said.
And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no man knows his burial place to this day.6He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is.
Although Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye was not dim, nor his vigor abated.7Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.
So the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.8The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over.
Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.9Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the LORD had commanded Moses.
Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,10Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
for all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land,11who did all those signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in Egypt--to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land.
and for all the mighty power and for all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.12For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
