Psalm 23
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
1A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.1The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.2He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.3He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.4Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.5You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.6Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.
