Psalm 30
ISV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew Living Translation
I exalt you, LORD, for you have lifted me up, and my enemies could not gloat over me.1I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
LORD, my God! I cried out to you for help and you healed me.2O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.
LORD, you brought me from death; you kept me alive so that I did not descend into the Pit. 3You brought me up from the grave, O LORD. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.
You, his godly ones, sing to the LORD, give thanks at the mention of his holiness.4Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.
For his wrath is only momentary; yet his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may lodge for the night, but shouts of joy will come in the morning.5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I will never be moved."6When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!”
By your favor, LORD, you established me as a strong mountain; Then you hid your face, and I was dismayed.7Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.
I cried out to you, LORD, and I make supplication to the Lord:8I cried out to you, O LORD. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,
"What profit is there in my death if I go down to the Pit? Can dust worship you? Can it proclaim your faithfulness?"9“What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?
Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me! LORD, help me!10Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me. Help me, O LORD.”
You have turned my mourning into dancing; you took off my sackcloth and clothed me with a garment of joy,11You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
so that I may sing praise to you and not remain silent. LORD, my God, I will give you thanks forever!12that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
