| 1[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. |

| 3[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 3for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. |
| 4[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 4And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. |

| 23[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. |

| 25[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 25But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. |
