Psalm 66
CSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Christian Standard BibleNew Living Translation
Let the whole earth shout joyfully to God!1Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!
Sing about the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.2Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is.
Say to God, "How awe-inspiring are your works! Your enemies will cringe before you because of your great strength.3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
The whole earth will worship you and sing praise to you. They will sing praise to your name." Selah4Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude
Come and see the wonders of God; his acts for humanity are awe-inspiring.5Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people!
He turned the sea into dry land, and they crossed the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him.6He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him.
He rules forever by his might; he keeps his eye on the nations. The rebellious should not exalt themselves. Selah7For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude
Bless our God, you peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard.8Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises.
He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip.9Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
For you, God, tested us; you refined us as silver is refined.10You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver.
You lured us into a trap; you placed burdens on our backs.11You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs.
You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us out to abundance.12Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.
I will enter your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows13Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you—
that my lips promised and my mouth spoke during my distress.14yes, the sacred vows that I made when I was in deep trouble.
I will offer you fattened sheep as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will sacrifice bulls with goats. Selah15That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you— the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma, and a sacrifice of bulls and male goats. Interlude
Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me.16Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
I cried out to him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue.17For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.18If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
However, God has listened; he has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.19But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.
Blessed be God! He has not turned away my prayer or turned his faithful love from me.20Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.
