Christian Standard BibleKing James Bible
Let the whole earth shout joyfully to God!1To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
Sing about the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
Say to God, "How awe-inspiring are your works! Your enemies will cringe before you because of your great strength.3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
The whole earth will worship you and sing praise to you. They will sing praise to your name." Selah4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
Come and see the wonders of God; his acts for humanity are awe-inspiring.5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
He turned the sea into dry land, and they crossed the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him.6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
He rules forever by his might; he keeps his eye on the nations. The rebellious should not exalt themselves. Selah7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
Bless our God, you peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard.8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip.9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
For you, God, tested us; you refined us as silver is refined.10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
You lured us into a trap; you placed burdens on our backs.11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us out to abundance.12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
I will enter your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
that my lips promised and my mouth spoke during my distress.14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
I will offer you fattened sheep as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will sacrifice bulls with goats. Selah15I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me.16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
I cried out to him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue.17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
However, God has listened; he has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God! He has not turned away my prayer or turned his faithful love from me.20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
