| 1“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. | 1"Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me. |
| 2In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? | 2There are many dwelling places in my Father's house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. |
| 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am. | 3And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too. |

| 10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own initiative, but the Father residing in me performs his miraculous deeds. |
| 11Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves. | 11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, but if you do not believe me, believe because of the miraculous deeds themselves. |
| 12Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. | 27Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. | 28You heard Me say, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I. | 28You heard me say to you, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am. |
| 29And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe. | 29I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. |
| 30I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me. | 30I will not speak with you much longer, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me, |
