Ruth 1
The New Messianic Version of the Bible
1Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beit-Lechem [House of Bread] in Y’hudah went to sojourn in the country of Mo’av [Seed of my Father], he, and his wife, and his two sons. 2And the name of the man [was] Eli-Melekh [my God is king], and the name of his wife Na’omi [my delight], and the name of his two sons Machlon [sick] and Kilyon [pining], Efratim [ashiness: fruitfulness] from Beit-Lechem [House of Bread] in Y’hudah. And they came into the country of Mo’av [Seed of my Father], and settled there. 3And Eli-Melekh [my God is king] Na’omi [my delight]'s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons. 4And they took them wives of the women of Mo’av [Seed of my Father]; the name of the one [was] ‘Orpah [gazelle], and the name of the other Rut [friendship]: and they dwelled there about ten years. 5And Machlon [sick] and Kilyon [pining] died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

6Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Mo’av [Seed of my Father]: for she had heard in the country of Mo’av [Seed of my Father] how that the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) had visited his people in giving them bread. 7For what reason she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised]. 8And Na’omi [my delight] said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) deal kindly with you, as you2f have dealt with the dead, and with me. 9The LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) grant you that you2f may find rest, each [of you] in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept. 10And they said unto her, Surely we will return with youi unto youi people. 11And Na’omi [my delight] said, Turn again, my daughters: why will you2f go with me? [are] there yet [any more] sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? 12Turn again, my daughters, go [your way]; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, [if] I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons; 13Would you2f wait for them till they were grown? would you2f stay for them from having husbands? No, my daughters; for it grieves me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) is gone out against me.

14And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and ‘Orpah [gazelle] kissed her mother in law; but Rut [friendship] clave unto her.

15And she said, Behold, youi sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return youi after youi sister in law. 16And Rut [friendship] said, Intreat me not to leave youi, [or] to return from following after youi: for to which youi go, I will go; and where youi lodge, I will lodge: youri people [shall be] my people, and youri God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] my God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]: 17Where youi die, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) do so to me, and more also, [if ought] but death part youi and me. 18When she saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

19So they two went until they came to Beit-Lechem [House of Bread]. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beit-Lechem [House of Bread], that all the city was moved about them, and they said, [Is] this Na’omi [my delight]? 20And she said unto them, Call me not Na’omi [my delight], call me Mara: for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21I went out full, and the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has brought me home again empty: why [then] call you2f me Na’omi [my delight], seeing the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has testified against me, and the Almighty (Shaddai) has afflicted me?

22So Na’omi [my delight] returned, and Rut [friendship] the Moavi [from father: what father?], her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Mo’av [Seed of my Father]: and they came to Beit-Lechem [House of Bread] in the beginning of barley harvest.
