1Now the apostles and the brothers being throughout Judea heard that the ethnicities had also received the word of God. 2And when Peter went up unto Jerusalem, those from out of the circumcision were taking issue (judged thoroughly back and forth) with him, 3Saying, he went to men having uncircumcision and ate with them. 4And Peter having begun, he set it out (explained it, latin-exponebat-explained like expounded root is recount) to them in order (successively) saying, 5I was in the city of Joppa praying, and I saw in a trance (ecstasy) a vision (horama), a certain implement (vessel) like as a great sheet descending by its four corners, being let down from out of heaven and it came down as far as me. 6Having looked fixedly unto it I considered and I saw the quadrupeds of the earth and the wild beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air. And I said, In no way, Lord, because nothing ever common or unclean has entered into my mouth. 7And I heard also a voice saying to me, Having risen up, Peter, kill and eat. 8 8And I said, In no way, Lord, because nothing ever common or unclean has entered into my mouth. 9And the voice answered from out of a second [time] from out of heaven, What God has cleansed, do not you call common. 10And this happened upon three times and the whole was drawn up again into heaven. 11And Behold, instantly three men stood at (upon) the house in which I was, they having been sent from Caesarea to me. 12And the Spirit told me to go with them nothing hesitating (misgiving, doubting, discriminating, judging back and forth). And these six brothers also went with me and we entered into the house of the man, 13And he reported to us how he had seen the angel in his house, having sttod and having said, send forth unto Joppa and send for Simon who is also called Peter, 14Who will speak sayings (rhemata) to you in which you and all your house will be saved. 15And in my beginning to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as also upon us in the beginning. 16And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said, John indeed baptized with water, you however will be baptized in (with) the Holy Spirit. 17If then God has given to them the identical (equal) gift like as also to us having believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was I to be able to prevent (latin-prohibere-stop like prohibit roots are stop/withhold) God? 18And having heard these things they were silent (quieted, stilled) and glorified God, saying, Then indeed also to the ethnicities God has given repentance unto life.

19Now those then having been scattered from the tribulation having taken place over (upon) Stephen that passed through (spread a report) to Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except only to Jews. 20However there were some men from out of them of Cyprus and of Cyrene, who had come into Antioch that spoke to the Hellenists (Greek-speaking Jews), preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus. 21And the hand of the Lord was with them; and a great (many) having believed, turned (latin-conversus-turning like converted) to (upon) the Lord. 22And the report (word) was heard unto the ears of the church being in Jerusalem concerning them; and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch, 23Who having come and seen the grace of God, rejoiced and entreated all with resolute purpose of heart to abide in the Lord. 24Because he was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a considerable (sufficient, worthy) multitude was added to the Lord. 25And he went out unto Tarsus to seek Saul, 26And having found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it happened that they gathered together in the church a whole year and taught a considerable multitude. And the disciples were first publically called Christians in Antioch.

27And in these days, prophets came down from Jerusalem unto Antioch. 28And one having risen up from out of them named Agabus, signified through the Spirit that a great famine is about to be upon the whole inhabited world- which happened upon Claudius. 29And the disciples, just as anyone was prospered, each of them determined (set boundaries/limits, designated) unto a ministry (diakonian), to send to the brothers residing in Judea, 30Which also they did having sent it to the elders (presbyterous) through the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
