Bezalel and Oholiab
(Exodus 35:30–35)

1  וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר (And spoke) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) אֶל־ (to) מֹשֶׁ֥ה (Moses), לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (saying), 2  רְאֵ֖ה (See), קָרָ֣אתִֽי (I have called) בְשֵׁ֑ם (by name) בְּצַלְאֵ֛ל (Bezalel) בֶּן־ (son) אוּרִ֥י (of Uri), בֶן־ (son) ח֖וּר (of Hur), לְמַטֵּ֥ה (of the tribe) יְהוּדָֽה׃ (of Judah). 3  וָאֲמַלֵּ֥א (And I have filled) אֹת֖וֹ (him) ר֣וּחַ (with the Spirit) אֱלֹהִ֑ים (of God), בְּחָכְמָ֛ה (in wisdom), וּבִתְבוּנָ֥ה (and in understanding), וּבְדַ֖עַת (and in knowledge), וּבְכָל־ (and in all manner of) מְלָאכָֽה׃ (workmanship), 4  לַחְשֹׁ֖ב (to design) מַחֲשָׁבֹ֑ת (artistic works), לַעֲשׂ֛וֹת (to work) בַּזָּהָ֥ב (in gold), וּבַכֶּ֖סֶף (and in silver), וּבַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (and in bronze), 5  וּבַחֲרֹ֥שֶׁת (and in cutting) אֶ֛בֶן (stone) לְמַלֹּ֖את (for setting), וּבַחֲרֹ֣שֶׁת (and in cutting) עֵ֑ץ (wood), לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת (to work) בְּכָל־ (in all manner of) מְלָאכָֽה׃ (workmanship).

6  וַאֲנִ֞י (And I), הִנֵּ֧ה (behold), נָתַ֣תִּי (I have appointed) אִתּ֗וֹ (with him) אֵ֣ת (-) אָהֳלִיאָ֞ב (Oholiab), בֶּן־ (son) אֲחִֽיסָמָךְ֙ (of Ahisamach), לְמַטֵּה־ (of the tribe) דָ֔ן (of Dan);

וּבְלֵ֥ב (and in the hearts) כָּל־ (of all) חֲכַם־ (that are wise) לֵ֖ב (hearted), נָתַ֣תִּי (I have put) חָכְמָ֑ה (wisdom), וְעָשׂ֕וּ (and they shall make) אֵ֖ת (-) כָּל־ (all) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) צִוִּיתִֽךָ׃ (I have commanded you): 7  אֵ֣ת׀ (-) אֹ֣הֶל (The Tent) מוֹעֵ֗ד (of Meeting), וְאֶת־ (and) הָֽאָרֹן֙ (the ark) לָֽעֵדֻ֔ת (of the Testimony), וְאֶת־ (and) הַכַּפֹּ֖רֶת (the mercy seat) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that is) עָלָ֑יו (on it), וְאֵ֖ת (and) כָּל־ (all) כְּלֵ֥י (the vessels) הָאֹֽהֶל׃ (of the tent), 8  וְאֶת־ (and) הַשֻּׁלְחָן֙ (the table) וְאֶת־ (and) כֵּלָ֔יו (its vessels), וְאֶת־ (and) הַמְּנֹרָ֥ה (the lampstand) הַטְּהֹרָ֖ה (the pure), וְאֶת־ (and with) כָּל־ (all) כֵּלֶ֑יהָ (its vessels), וְאֵ֖ת (and) מִזְבַּ֥ח (the altar) הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ (of incense), 9  וְאֶת־ (and) מִזְבַּ֥ח (the altar) הָעֹלָ֖ה (of the burnt offering), וְאֶת־ (and with) כָּל־ (all) כֵּלָ֑יו (its vessels), וְאֶת־ (and) הַכִּיּ֖וֹר (the basin) וְאֶת־ (and) כַּנּֽוֹ׃ (its stand), 10  וְאֵ֖ת (and) בִּגְדֵ֣י (the garments) הַשְּׂרָ֑ד (woven), וְאֶת־ (and) בִּגְדֵ֤י (the garments) הַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ (holy) לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן (for Aaron) הַכֹּהֵ֔ן (the priest), וְאֶת־ (and) בִּגְדֵ֥י (the garments) בָנָ֖יו (of his sons) לְכַהֵֽן׃ (to minister as priests), 11  וְאֵ֨ת (and) שֶׁ֧מֶן (oil) הַמִּשְׁחָ֛ה (the anointing), וְאֶת־ (and) קְטֹ֥רֶת (incense) הַסַּמִּ֖ים (of the spices) לַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ (for the Holy Place). כְּכֹ֥ל (According to all) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) צִוִּיתִ֖ךָ (I have commanded you), יַעֲשֽׂוּ׃פ (they shall do).

The Sign of the Sabbath
(Numbers 15:32–36)

12  וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (And spoke) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) אֶל־ (to) מֹשֶׁ֥ה (Moses), לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (saying), 13  וְאַתָּ֞ה (And You), דַּבֵּ֨ר (speak) אֶל־ (to) בְּנֵ֤י (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ (of Israel), לֵאמֹ֔ר (saying), אַ֥ךְ (Truly) אֶת־ (-) שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י (My Sabbaths) תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ (you⁺ shall keep), כִּי֩ (for) א֨וֹת (a sign) הִ֜וא (it is) בֵּינִ֤י (between Me) וּבֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ (and between you⁺) לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם (throughout your⁺ generations), לָדַ֕עַת (that you may know) כִּ֛י (that) אֲנִ֥י (I am) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃ (who sanctifies you⁺). 14  וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ (And you⁺ shall keep) אֶת־ (-) הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת (the Sabbath), כִּ֛י (for) קֹ֥דֶשׁ (it is holy) הִ֖וא (it) לָכֶ֑ם (to you⁺). מְחַֽלְלֶ֙יהָ֙ (Everyone who profanes it) מ֣וֹת (dying) יוּמָ֔ת (he must be put to death); כִּ֗י (for) כָּל־ (every) הָעֹשֶׂ֥ה (doer) בָהּ֙ (on it) מְלָאכָ֔ה (of work), וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה (and shall be cut off) הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ (soul) הַהִ֖וא (that) מִקֶּ֥רֶב (from among) עַמֶּֽיהָ׃ (his people). 15  שֵׁ֣שֶׁת (Six) יָמִים֮ (days) יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה (shall be done) מְלָאכָה֒ (work), וּבַיּ֣וֹם (and in the day) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י (the seventh) שַׁבַּ֧ת (is a Sabbath) שַׁבָּת֛וֹן (of complete rest), קֹ֖דֶשׁ (holy) לַיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH). כָּל־ (Every) הָעֹשֶׂ֧ה (doer) מְלָאכָ֛ה (of work) בְּי֥וֹם (on day) הַשַּׁבָּ֖ת (the Sabbath) מ֥וֹת (dying) יוּמָֽת׃ (he must be put to death).

16  וְשָׁמְר֥וּ (Therefore shall keep) בְנֵֽי־ (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (of Israel) אֶת־ (-) הַשַּׁבָּ֑ת (the Sabbath), לַעֲשׂ֧וֹת (to do) אֶת־ (-) הַשַּׁבָּ֛ת (the Sabbath) לְדֹרֹתָ֖ם (throughout their generations), בְּרִ֥ית (as a covenant) עוֹלָֽם׃ (everlasting). 17  בֵּינִ֗י (Between Me) וּבֵין֙ (and between) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל (of Israel) א֥וֹת (a sign) הִ֖וא (it is) לְעֹלָ֑ם (forever); כִּי־ (for in) שֵׁ֣שֶׁת (six) יָמִ֗ים (days) עָשָׂ֤ה (made) יְהוָה֙ (YHWH) אֶת־ (-) הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם (the heavens) וְאֶת־ (and) הָאָ֔רֶץ (the earth), וּבַיּוֹם֙ (and on the day) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י (the seventh) שָׁבַ֖ת (He rested) וַיִּנָּפַֽשׁ׃ס (and was refreshed).

Moses Receives the Tablets

18  וַיִּתֵּ֣ן (And He gave) אֶל־ (unto) מֹשֶׁ֗ה (Moses), כְּכַלֹּתוֹ֙ (as He finished) לְדַבֵּ֤ר (speaking) אִתּוֹ֙ (with him) בְּהַ֣ר (on Mount) סִינַ֔י (Sinai), שְׁנֵ֖י (two) לֻחֹ֣ת (tablets) הָעֵדֻ֑ת (of the Testimony), לֻחֹ֣ת (tablets) אֶ֔בֶן (of stone), כְּתֻבִ֖ים (written) בְּאֶצְבַּ֥ע (with the finger) אֱלֹהִֽים׃ (of God).
