Solomon's Twelve Officers

7Solomon had twelve district governors over all Israel, who supplied provisions for the king and the royal household. Each one had to provide supplies for one month in the year.7Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for one month in the year.7Solomon had twelve deputies over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household; each man had to provide for a month in the year.7And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.7Solomon had 12 deputies for all Israel. They provided food for the king and his household; each one made provision for one month out of the year.

Solomon's Wealth

20The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore; they ate, they drank and they were happy.20Judah and Israel were as many as the sand by the sea. 21And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. 24For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.24For he had dominion over all the region west of the Euphrates from Tiphsah to Gaza, over all the kings west of the Euphrates. Solomon's Wisdom

29God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore,29Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.29God gave Solomon wisdom, very great insight, and understanding as vast as the sand on the seashore.
30Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.30so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.30Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.30And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.30Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
31He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite--wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations.31For he was wiser than all other men, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol, and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.31For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was known in all the surrounding nations.31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.31He was wiser than anyone--wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol. His reputation extended to all the surrounding nations.

34From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.34And people of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.34Men came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.34People came from everywhere, sent by every king on earth who had heard of his wisdom, to listen to Solomon's wisdom.
